The primary site is located at The Renaissance Charter School, 35-59 81st Street Jackson Heights 11372, Room 206; 718-803-0060.

The secondary site is located at Shebitz, Berman & Delforte, P.C., 1350 Avenue of the Americas (aka the "LOVE" building), 3rd Fl. Reception (4th Floor Offices), New York, New York 10019, 212-832-2797.

This meeting will be conducted by video-conference to link both locations. This is a public meeting. Public attendees need to check in with security in the lobby, before proceeding to the meeting.

The Renaissance Charter School 2: A New Charter School, opening September, 2020

A second charter school is now being developed by the leadership, faculty and community of Renaissance. The new charter school will open in Fall 2020 in Community School District 24; location to be determined.

Like Renaissance, the new charter school will provide a rigorous, innovative and progressive educational program that will help students become lifelong learners, global citizens and leaders in the renaissance of New York City.

  • In its first year, the new charter school will enroll students in Kindergarten, 1st grade and 6th grade. Ultimately, like the Renaissance Charter School, it will enroll students in grades K-12.
  • The new charter school will have a strong academic program modeled after that of the Renaissance Charter School, including
    • Student-centered instruction
    • Project-based and experiential learning
    • Rensizzle Week and other opportunities for student leadership, creativity and growth
    • Comprehensive academic and social-emotional supports to ensure that each child succeeds
    • A commitment to preparing every student for entry to and success in college

The admission policy of The Renaissance Charter School is non-sectarian and does not discriminate against any student on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability or any other ground that would be unlawful if done by a school. Admission to TRCS 2 will not be limited on the basis of intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, disability, race, creed, gender, national origin, religion or ancestry. Any child who is qualified under New York State law for admission to a public school is qualified for admission to TRCS 2. TRCS 2 will ensure compliance with all applicable anti-discrimination laws governing public schools, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and ยง 2854(2) of the New York Education Law, governing admission to a charter school.
